Shopify development in Basel
Selling from Basel into a wider market puts weight on one particular decision: businesses distributing sensitive reagents. A store that has taken that decision deliberately behaves differently from one that inherited it, and the difference shows up in what customers do at the checkout rather than in how the site looks.

Businesses distributing sensitive reagents
What Shopify does well is remove the failure modes that have nothing to do with your business.
Card processing, certificates, capacity on a busy afternoon — none of those are problems you get to be interesting about, and none of them are where a store earns anything. In Basel that pattern shows up most in finance, and around Allschwil business park in particular. The businesses there sell in a way that makes this requirement structural rather than a preference somebody could be talked out of. The check we apply throughout is whether the store is describing what actually happens. A page that promises a lead time nobody can meet, or a flexibility production does not have, generates complaints that look like service failures and are really specification failures. Everything above is routine except the requirement itself. Holding to businesses distributing sensitive reagents through the catalogue, the checkout and the product copy is what stops a Basel store becoming a template with a logo on it, and it is a decision somebody owns rather than a feature somebody installs.
We have no office in Basel. Our studio is in Rajkot, India, and every project here is delivered remotely — if a supplier who can attend your premises matters to you, that is a fair requirement and we do not meet it.
What a Shopify development project includes
Three things, and they are the same wherever you are. What changes is the subject above.
Custom Online Store 2.0 theme or headless storefront
App, payment and fulfilment integration
Migration with a full URL redirect map
The other three, and what each one covers
Each answers a different question for Basel businesses. None of them repeats this page.
AI Automation
Life sciences suppliers shipping temperature-controlled goods
UI/UX Design
An excursion triggering a defined process rather than a conversation about who is responsible
WooCommerce Development
A temperature record attached to the order, because the goods are only usable if it holds
Shopify development questions from Basel
Three questions about the subject above. How we work, what it costs and who owns the code are answered on the service page.
Who owns the store when it is finished?
You do, completely. The Shopify account is in your name, the theme code is yours, and any custom work is documented so another developer can pick it up. A Basel business should never be in a position where changing supplier means rebuilding, and we would not build something that created one.
What happens after launch?
Whatever is agreed beforehand. Shopify handles the platform updates, so the ongoing work is your catalogue, your campaigns and the changes the business asks for. What we would not do is disappear at launch and leave a Basel client with something nobody knows how to change.
Do we need to be in Basel to work with you?
No, and none of our clients has needed us in the room. Work happens over shared documents, a staging site and scheduled calls, which is how a distributed team operates in any case. If a supplier who can attend your premises in Basel matters to you, that is a fair requirement we do not meet.
