The honest answer
Being honest about this costs us nothing and it is unusual enough to be worth explaining. There are parts of interface design that genuinely benefit from physical presence: watching somebody use a product in the place they normally use it, running a session with participants who would struggle to join remotely, or observing how staff actually work when the interface is a tool rather than a shop. If your project depends on that kind of research, a local studio has an advantage we cannot match, and we will tell you so rather than talk you out of it. What we can do, and do routinely, is remote research that produces real findings: moderated sessions over video with recruited participants, unmoderated tests where people complete tasks in their own time, and analysis of what customers already do on the site you have. For most ecommerce projects that is enough, because the questions are about whether people can find and buy things rather than about physical context. The design work itself — the system, the layouts, the prototypes, the accessibility decisions — has no geography at all.

Can you work with our existing brand?
Yes, and it is the more common case. Working within an established identity is a constraint rather than a limitation, and we would rather extend a system you already own than replace one that is working simply because replacing it is more interesting.
