Slovenia

Shopify development for Slovenian businesses

Selling things together is the simplest way to raise an order value and the easiest way to lose track of stock. A bundle is either its own product with its own inventory or a wrapper around several, and those behave very differently. We build Shopify stores for Slovenian businesses remotely.

What changes about Shopify Development in Slovenia?

The decision is whether a bundle consumes the stock of its components or holds stock of its own. If it is a wrapper, selling one has to reduce four other figures, and every one of those products must remain buyable individually without the two views of availability disagreeing. If it is assembled in advance as its own item, the stock is simple and somebody has to physically make them, which means a decision about how many and a quantity of components locked up in a form that only sells one way. Neither is wrong and the wrong one is expensive to unwind once orders exist. The related questions arrive immediately afterwards: what a partial return of a bundle is worth, whether a discount applies to the bundle or to the components for the purposes of a refund, and what happens when one component is discontinued. All three are commercial decisions and all three are cheaper to answer before launch than during a return.

What a Shopify Development project includes

Three things, and they do not change by country. What changes is the section above, which is the part worth reading before anybody agrees a scope for Slovenia.

  1. Custom Online Store 2.0 theme or headless storefront
  2. App, payment and fulfilment integration
  3. Migration with a full URL redirect map

Cities we cover in Slovenia

5 cities, each with its own page describing what commerce looks like there — what sells, who buys it and what makes selling there different — rather than repeating this one. All four services are delivered in every one of them, and we hold no office in any.

Styria

Slovenian Littoral

Alpine Slovenia

Central Slovenia

The rest of what we build in Slovenia

Replatforming rarely arrives on its own. The interface decides whether the new store converts, and the automation decides how much manual work it leaves behind, so the other services in this market are usually the next question rather than a later one.

Shopify Development questions from Slovenia

Three questions specific to Shopify Development in Slovenia. The general ones — how we work, what it costs, who owns the code — are answered on the service page, and the ones about selling into this market generally are on the Europe page above.

Do you have an office in Slovenia?

No. Our studio is in Rajkot, India, and Slovenian clients work with us remotely. There is no Slovenian address behind this page and no office anybody could visit. We put that in the opening paragraph rather than the footer, because the opening is where a reader forms the assumption.

What happens when part of a bundle is returned?

Whatever you decided in advance, which is the entire reason to decide in advance. The customer paid a bundle price rather than the sum of the parts, so refunding one component at its individual price gives away the discount, and working that out during the return guarantees an inconsistent answer.

Should bundles hold their own stock?

Only if you assemble them physically in advance. Otherwise they should consume the components, which is more work to build and keeps one honest figure per product. Choosing the wrong model is unpleasant to unwind once real orders are attached to it.
