The work is unglamorous and short: read what is currently published, list every commitment in it, and check each against what actually happens. Where the two disagree, change whichever is easier to change. We are not lawyers and this is not legal advice — the wording should be reviewed by somebody qualified before it goes live. What we can say is that the review usually finds commitments the business did not know it had made.

What does the review usually find?

Is vagueness safer than a specific promise?
Rarely. A policy that says nothing useful turns every awkward case into an improvised negotiation, so two customers in the same position get different answers depending on who replied. That inconsistency is harder to defend than a clear rule you have deliberately chosen and can apply.
