Shopify development in London
Selling direct while your stockists sell the same products puts your own store in competition with the shops that carry you. A store can be built to avoid that fight or to start one, and which it does is decided by a handful of choices taken long before launch.

Shopify development for London brands
Channel conflict is a commercial problem that arrives disguised as a technical one.
The ordinary failure is a direct store that quietly undercuts the retailers who built the brand's distribution, which wins a quarter and costs the accounts that generate most of the volume. The version that works starts from parity: the same recommended price on your store as in theirs, so your site competes on range, information and service rather than on being cheaper. What you then own is everything a wholesale relationship cannot give you — the full range including the slow lines no buyer takes, the archive, personalisation, and the customer relationship afterwards. Two mechanisms are worth building deliberately. A stockist locator that sends a customer to a shop is not a lost sale; it is the reason a retailer keeps taking your stock, and it costs one page. And direct-only lines make the store a destination without giving retailers a reason to complain, provided they genuinely are direct-only rather than a discount with a different name.
We have no office in London. Our studio is in Rajkot, India, and every project here is delivered remotely — if a supplier who can attend your premises matters to you, that is a fair requirement and we do not meet it.

Shopify development questions from London
Three questions about the subject above. How we work, what it costs and who owns the code are answered on the service page.
Should our own store undercut our stockists?
Almost never. It wins one quarter and costs the accounts that carry most of your volume, and those accounts are considerably harder to win back than a direct customer is to acquire. Parity on price and competition on range, information and service is the position that survives contact with a buyer.
What is worth keeping direct-only?
Things a wholesale relationship cannot carry: the full range including slow lines no buyer will take, archive stock, personalisation, and anything sold as a set. Each gives your store a reason to exist without giving a retailer grounds to complain, provided it is genuinely exclusive rather than discounted.
Is a stockist locator giving away sales?
It reads that way and rarely is. A customer who wants to see something in person is not going to buy online that afternoon regardless, and the page is a large part of why a retailer keeps taking your stock. One page maintained properly protects a channel worth far more than the orders it diverts.
